At Bekins, we choose to hold ourselves to the highest standards. However, not everyone has to live up to those same expectations.
We find customers assume the company who sells appliances has to install them. They also assume the company that sold it to them will have to repair it when needed. Finally, they assume the appliance installers and repair technicians need a license to perform their job.
Unfortunately, none of that is true.
Appliance companies are only held to whatever standard they put on themselves. Essentially, anyone can claim to be an appliance installation and repair technician. Don’t believe us, check out the video from Target 8 at WOOD TV.
One appliance manufacturer chose to use a satellite dish company to repair their recalled appliances. As you can imagine, some people experienced terrible customer service. Some of the technicians even did more damage than good. Finally, Target 8 reported that same appliance company authorized a convicted criminal to enter their customers’ homes. Target 8 reported the technician took money, but did not do any work.
HOW WE RISE ABOVE
We hire full-time Bekins installers and repair technicians. They wear a Bekins uniform and drive a Bekins truck. We stand behind our fully-trained appliance installers and repair technicians before we let them into your home. Not only do they learn from our experienced and trained staff, we also send them to manufacturer training to get certified by the brands we carry.
Our training helps you as well. Jenn-Air quite often offers an extra year of limited warranty coverage to customers that use a certified installer. The company trusts Bekins because they know we will install it correctly.
