It sounds like a holiday movie, “When Tom and Bekins Saved Thanksgiving.” We pride ourselves on providing outstanding customer service and one of our Appliance Professionals, Tom Koperski, recently did that for a customer before Thanksgiving.
For anyone who loves to cook or entertain it’s a nightmare scenario. Your oven quits shortly before Thanksgiving and you planned to host!
No worries, you have plenty of time to visit Bekins and get a new double wall oven before the holiday. However, bad luck again! The manufacturer’s delivery date gets delayed!
HOW TOM AND BEKINS SAVED THANKSGIVING FOR A CUSTOMER
Tom and the Bekins staff called the manufacturer to let them know our customer was planning to use the oven to host Thanksgiving. The manufacturer pulled a few strings and got the product into West Michigan as quickly as possible.
Yet, the story does not end there. The new oven was still an hour and a half away Wednesday morning.
Tom and a coworker drove a total of three hours to pick up the product then deliver it to the home. Minutes later, our install team arrived and the oven was ready to go the night before Thanksgiving.
The rewards from all of this extra work? Tom got a hug from the customer who told him, “You’re the best!” It also saved Thanksgiving for the the homeowners. They used the double wall ovens to make Thanksgiving dinner for their family the very next day!
The customers also filled out the comment card with these sentiments, “WOW! Tom Koperski is our hero for seeing to it that (our) oven arrived for Thanksgiving! Both delivery crews were the best!”
